🎓 I Graduated

Sunday Summary
Hi👋, Vyshnav here

Finally, I graduated as a Chemical Engineer from NIT Calicut. It took me 5 years to complete this course. Yes, you read that correct “5 years”. The duration of a BTech programme is only 4 years. But because of many mistakes which I made during the course, I had to sit an extra year to complete it.
The journey was not smooth. There were a lot of downs and a few ups. But I really enjoyed that journey. It made me who I’m today. Talking about the downs, here is a list of them below.
  • Failed in 9 subjects.
  • Failed 3 times in a single subject.
  • I was placed under academic probation for a year because I couldn’t clear one subject.
The above reasons were enough for me to quit, but I didn’t. All my friends told me to pursue another degree. But my parents gave me the strength to move forward. They told me that if I quit now, I would not be able to face the future challenges in life. Finally, I made it.
Now let’s talk about the ups. The one-year probation period gave me enough time to increase my skills. I learned to code and made my personal website and a few other websites for Notion. I also made $2200+ in side hustles. Started this newsletter. I read a lot of books(not those big academic textbooks).
I’m so proud of where I’m today because of my failures. If I hadn’t failed, I wouldn’t have made my website, started this newsletter, or made $2200+ on the internet.
Failures are not a wall in your journey. They are more like a different road that no one has ever traveled. So take that road and live a different life.
I don’t want to make this newsletter so long to read, so I will be writing more about these soon on my website.
